New Address for Filing IT Returns For Delhi Tax payers

The residents of Delhi have a new address for submitting income-tax returns. Counters will be opened at the Civic Centre, near Connaught Place, to collect the returns, instead of Pragati Maidan.

The I-T department will open special return receipt counters for government employees (CITXIV), public sector undertaking and bank employees (CITXV), and private employees (CIT-XVI) at Block B and C from July 26 to 31, barring July 28 and 29.

Senior citizens, pensioners and disabled people can submit their returns in the special counters at Mayur Bhavan from July 23 to 25.

“All returns of income above lakh have to be filed electronically and will not be received at any of the special counters,” chief commissioner (Delhi) M Sailo said.

"Paper returns will be valid for total income of up to10 lakh only for the assessment year 2012-13 for individuals and HUFs,” she said.
